thank you

i was reflecting over something a friend mentioned to me yesterday. even though she was joking about being so influential in my life, it's quite incredible how one person did influence my life. made me think of all the people i've known. how some people enter your life and change it entirely. so, i wondered how many people i've met that have made me who i am today and how i never thanked them. it's unfortunate that i'll never get to thank some of them. so, i thanked this friend of mine and how nice it was to thank someone for just being who she was, for being alive, for being a friend. it's funny, we'll thank people all the time for opening/holding doors for us but how seldom we ever thank our family and friends for being in our lives. we hold these thank yous for special occasions and lets face it, there are far more doors being held open for us then there are special occasions.
