a new leaf

finally settling in
the boxes are dwindling
and the spaces are opening up

life in general is chaotic
i've meant to do so many things
and haven't managed to do much

i feel like i'm missing opportunities
and Christmas just seems to be an afterthought
but as hard as i try
i just don't have the time

i've broken a few promises
and wish i had time to make up for it

even in the down time
the moments just before bed
i just decide to stop
with piles still left untouched

everyone's life is hectic
and so, i wonder how
we can get together and connect
in this time of meaningful times
