thanks sophia. i can always count on you to push me to think.
i hope that the day that i die, i'll be remembered for living such a life. just have my urn inscribed with the word, "full". that'll accomplish 2 things. one, it'll be my epitaph of sorts and two, the container will be properly labelled thus, hopefully, preventing any mishaps of getting mixed with cat litter or someone else's ashes.
how sad it would be to die and have people remember you for your money, for what kind of job, house, spouse you had. sometimes i wish i had the courage to give everything up. to live simply and give generously. i find because of the job i have, the society i live in, i don't live simply enough or give generously enough. often i'd like to give more to "deserving" organizations. they always seem ready to receive but my skeptism of society prevents me to. i'll donate to something only to realize that the funds haven't reached their goal. i don't value money but i don't like money to be squandered either. then i meet wonderful individuals who may not need what i have to give as much as some starving child in africa, but it's "safer" to give to them but then we live in a society where we're so skeptical of any good natured gesture. so more often than not, people here are hestitant to receive. i find the same can be said of love.
ah, to live in a hut, have enough to eat, work a hard day helping others. it's too much to ask. lives have to be complicated with propaganda, atrocities, relationships, emotion.
